Raisins, Nuts, and Human Ashes

We've Landed! Customs was a breeze, actually it was quicker than getting through LAX. It was probably 5 minutes total, amazing!

Gram has made it to Australia! Woot!

Our hotel is actually smack-dab in the middle of chinatown (which really only consists of two long blocks). Smells pretty awesome at night, sweet & sour chicken-ish.

After unloading our stuff and changing our clothes (so needed) we headed out to check out the city. We ended up near Flinder Street Station, feels like the equivalent of Times Square (Kind of). Lots of people and little restaurant fronts where you carry out food. We spotted a burger place called Lord of the Fries we hope to hit before we leave town, points for the clever name. Also random info, Burger Kings are called Hungry Jack's here, same logo just swapped out the name, weird.

Here are a couple shots from our first day. Chinatown, a huge Churro shop (this is for you Liz, we've seen a couple actually, they have a ton of varieties). And our rental car, we got a convertible so Mandy could have extra head room. We spared no expense.

Love T&J
