Currently we have one hour - thirty seven minutes until our layover in NZ. I slept pretty much the whole time, got a bit queasy when they brought out the dinner. For some reason I get super scent sensitive on flights and that is where it all goes wrong. In this case it was just the slight quivering of the lips and the numbness feeling around my mouth. Needless to say I skipped dinner. Mandy and Jen had the chicken cacciatore and tried to stay up as much as they could, Mandy ended up falling asleep with her hands in her leftovers and with her lima bean covered hands flung her small wine bottle onto "her arm rest hogging" neighbor (unconscious or intentional, we'll never know) Sad news is I (trish) missed a delicious dessert, so when the breakfast cart came rolling by this morning I asked them if there were any remaining. (fingers crossed tightly). The stewardess left briefly and brought back two, booyah! It was really good, or maybe I was just really hungry. It was called Caramel Cream Cake, and they have a website, minitreats.com, it's probably good I don't have Internet right now, or I'd probably buy a case.....or eight. Anyhow, thought I would share my dessert good fortune, although Jen ate most of my second one, it's okay though, we're twins so I was able to taste it. ( edit from jen: for the record Trish had some of mine from dinner while she was pale and sweaty...she was really sickly so she probably doesn't remember.)
Cheers! T
P.S. We are already loving the accents. Mandy was already drooling over the head male flight attendant's voice, he pretty much looked identical to our uncle Catfish, but with a sweet Aussie accent and sans the new Brunswick sweatshirt. Catfish, start working on your "G'day."
